A slow PC should be a thing of the past. With advancement in innovations and technology, utilizing a slow personal computer will give you the idea of living through ancient times. It is for this reason that individual always try to look how to speed up their personal computers.
If you are on the same road, then you just came to correct place. Yes, there is a lot of tweaking and modifying involved in speeding up a PC. But then again, these uncomplicated things are worth a try.
Here are some ways to speed up my Windows:
> Getting bored with the menu delays is really annoying. Cut down the time to load menu transitions through right clicking your desktop. Select Properties and Select the Effects tab. Unmark the Animate windows menu lists. For Windows XP users, this can be done by right-clicking on the desktop, clicking Properties, selecting the Appearance tab, selecting the Effects option and deselect Use the following transition effects for menus and tooltips, then Select OK.
> Speed up Windows Start Up by deleting out the programs you dont utilize at start-up. For Windows 98 users, you can do this by going to Start and clicking Run. Then enter MSConfig.exe and then choose OK. select the Start up tab then unchoose the programs you wish to stopthroughout the startup. As you see, you can only speed start up Windows if you decrease the softwares that personal computer needs to load.
> Defrag may be an old school process but it doesnt fail to help anyone who has speed problems. search for the defrag option under your System Tools menu from the Accessories or Start Tab. Be sure that you dedicate a time for defragging. Using different programs as the same time as defragging restricts the process itself.
> Prefering to install your applications would be best if you frequently experience errors. Always scan your PC for viruses before backing up any files. In addition, make sure that you have a back up copy of your harware drives before erasing files from your hard drvies Installing again your program could run for as long as an hour or more.
> Removing programs that you do not use. Software, though you are making use of them or not, eat up space in your hard disk. If you arent utilizing them, then is there still a need to keep them?
